Many times we have customers that call in and want to repaint their old rusted gates, fence, security doors and other wrought iron accessories. Instead of replacing the old iron because it is rusted and faded we can offer in house media blasting to remove your old paint coatings. The material is blasted with a heavy grit bead that will not impinge the material. Once the material is free of its old coating and rust we then can repair, replace or clean up the old iron before applying a new durable powder coating finish.

Powder coating can add many years of life to your items. Making them virtually maintenance free. If you have any questions regarding repairing or replacing your old coating, call our office and one of our helpful representatives will assist you.

We have been coating many bike frames lately. From Harley Davidson swing arms, ATV Frames, Polaris roll cages, and Sand rail frames. We have over 30,000 lbs of powder in stock for all you color needs. We stock candy colors, solid colors like black, white, yellow, tan, green, browns, textured blacks and browns. We also carry many vein colors like silver vein, penny vein, copper vein. We also have a small selection of translucent and pearls. Many coating jobs can be coated the same day or within a one-two day turnaround of all stock colors. Come by and see us for all your powder coating needs.

Powder Coated Wheels

Recently we have had an influx of customers wanting to have their wheels coated. So we invested in a media blaster to remove existing paint and powder coatings. Below I have posted a few before and after pictures. I was amazed to see the difference. We can coat any size wheel with a quick turnaround. Also we have over 20,000 lbs of powder in stock so the choices are practically limitless. If you see a color and by chance we don't have it, we can order it an get it within a day or two.

Recently we had the opportunity to be involved with the Powder Coat Institute at their Coating West 2009 Convention. We were greeted with over 50 guests to tour our automated powder coating line. I would like to thank all of those people who attended and I enjoyed speaking with every one of you. I would also like to thank all of our suppliers who provided unbelievable assistance in making this possible. John Cole and Brian Garvey from Parker Ionics, Sercy Spears and Sean Stevens from Rohm Haas, Scott and Mary Carpenter from Carpenter Chemicals, Ann Goyer and Kelly Lecount from Goyer Management.Last but definitely not least Doug Smilor from Doug Smilor Enterprises and the guys at Coast Industrial Systems.

Special thanks to the Saunders Family for their security system order. The Saunders family was recently broken into and had many of their personal possessions stolen. Mr. and Mrs. Saunder wanted to have full security on their windows and doors without closing in their home with the "jail effect." After completing the measurements with their help we sat down and designed a simple but elegant looking product.

Another concern the Saunders family had was they did not want to have the typical paint job. After reviewing our inventory of over 20,000 lbs of powder coating colors they chose to have the security system in a hammer tone powder color. This color not only increased the beauty of the iron, it also added the best protection to the finished product. Thanks again to Mr. & Mrs. Saunders for your continued support of AR IRON LLC.

Custom Plasma Cutting

For a few years now we have owned one of the best plama cutting tables around. This table allows us to cut shapes up to 4'x4'. We have over 5,000 predesigned shapes ready to be cut. We can also scan any image into our system. We use a hypertherm 1250 plasma cutter that can cut up to 1" thick plate. Not only will this machine cut 1" thick plate it will also cut at 1000 inches per minute on smaller gauge plate. Below you will see an example of a cannon that we had cut for a repeat customer. They are using this design for there ranch entrance. They also brand their cattle with this logo. We can also add these types of designs to your gates, fencing, railing, wall art and so on.

Every once in a while we have some HUGE production runs. This allows us to be able to powder coat more efficiently. When we are able to run production, we have the opportunity to reclaim our powder. Our automated spray booth has a down draft system. This system collects the powder that does not reach the part. It is reclaimed through two cyclones' and then the powder returns to the booth under 10 seconds. In doing so we have less raw material waste and more efficiency and production. Our line runs at 7'per minute allowing us to spray between 3-4 mils. Why purchase a liquid coating that will last for a short period of time? Upgrade to a superior more durable finish today! DO IT YOURSELF SPECIALS

Many times we get customers that call us or come by our shop to find out if we have any "stock" gates. I usually have to inform them that all our items are custom built to their needs. Therefore, I usually lose the sale to home depot or other shops because they want the gate right then. So I decided to make it more convenient to the DIY market. We are now taking orders for single gates with our without the privacy mesh backing. These single gates will come powder coated black with all the necessary hardware for installation. All you have to do is shoot us an email to tonys@arironllc.com with your dimensions. We will cut, fabricate, and powdercoat your gate BLACK to your dimensions (*up to 48" wide and 62"tall). Here's the simplest way to measure your opening. Measure the top of the opening as well as the middle and the bottom to make sure your opening is square. Then notify us by email what the smallest opening measurement is. We will deduct for hardware and build the gate to your measurements. Typically the deductions will reduce the frame size of your gate 4" inches. Let us know in your email if you would like the gate to hinge on the right or left, and if you want the gate to open in or out. Depending on our production schedule we can have the gate ready either the same day or within 2 business days. Please send us all your contact information with your measurements. In order to process your order we require half down and the other half when you pick up your gate. Below is an example of what you will receive if you order the gate with the mesh privacy backing. Other options are available. If you would like to add a lock box, decorative castings, arched tops, or anything else just notify us in the email and we will respond with the cost increase.

This beaustiful entry is powder coated black, it has arrowheads, poodle proofing for keeping in your small dogs, and a arched top with grape leaf castings. Here you will see some of our recent work at the new Palazzo Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nv. The management team with Taylor International, and the Facilities offices at the Venetian/Palazzo were extremely helpful in getting this job done. I cannot thank Mike Aziz enough with Taylor. With his assistance we were able to come up with a design, fabricate, powder coat and install everything in 48 Hrs! We had over 1000 man hours on this job! We had many guys work double and triple shifts! I was extremely proud of the effort put forward from our fabricators, painters, installers and supervisors. When all things were said and done I truly feel that this was some of our best work. I look forward to continued business with Taylor and the Venetian/Palazzo.

New Install @ The Palazzo

We have a new install coming at The Palazzo Hotel and Casino! We are adding railing to the Grand Fountain near the lobby entrance and check in area. Thanks to Chris B. in Facilities for his continued support. Check back soon for exciting new before and after photos.

Automated Gate Operators

GTO gate operators can be used for sliding gates and swing gates. They can be used for chain link, wooden gates and ornamental iron gates. Feel free to give us a call for a quote. Check out these pictures of a single swing leaf with a GTO 3000xl gate operator. This customer has a HUGE truck and a couple of trailors. He wanted to have the availability of opening his gate without getting out of his vehicle every time he pulled out his trailor. You will notice that there is a intermediate rail at the bottom of the gate. This serves two purposes. One to keep the gate from sagging. The gate is over 14'! Second, the gate operator arm needs to be attched to a sturdy durable frame. In these situations we use only heavy wall (gauge) material. Don't settle for anything less!

powder coated and installed with a gate operator system.

We just completed another two slide gate operators from GTO! Our customer the Mickelson family had a circular drive and wanted to have the functionality of entering one drive and exiting the other. They didn't have the availability of running power so we installed two large solar panels. They also wanted to be able to allow their landscaper to enter without having a remote so we installed a wireless keypad that is mounted to the outside masonry wall. Each gate leaf is over 20' with a tail. It has dual rollers, with "v" groove wheels for rolling on the track. Each gate operates from a two button remote. Below you will see photos of the gates and a short video of our powder coating truck entering and exiting the property.

Here we have a GPSL 100 operator for a slider gate that is 20'x8'. Mr. Butler poured a concrete pad for the track which we provided made out of channel and angle. This application has 2 sets of guide rollers and two 4" v-grove wheels. We installed a universal remote that can also control his garage doors! Also as a added convienience we installed a wireless keypad with a gooseneck. The wireless keypad can operate up to 500' from the receiver. What Is Powder Coating?

It Looks Like Paint But It Acts Like Armor.It's tough. It looks great. And it lasts a long, long time. Powder coating is a superior finish that's found on hundreds of products you come in contact with each day. It makes products durable, attractive, and does not run.

How Does It Work?

Powder coating is a dry finishing process. Finely ground particles of pigment and resin are electrostatically charged and sprayed onto the products to be coated.

The parts to be coated are electrically grounded, so that the charged particles adhere to them until melted and fused into a solid coating in a curing oven.

The result is an attractive, durable, high-quality finish. The powder coating process itself offers another advantage -- it is environmentally friendly...virtually pollution-free!

Unlike liquid paint, no solvents are used, so only negligible amounts of VOCs are released into the air. In addition, unused or oversprayed powder can be recovered, so any waste is minimal and can be disposed of easily and safely. Our powder line is a fully automated conveyerized production line. We have an automated wash with reclaim drip tunnel. Large dry off and cure ovens. Our conveyer line allows us to run parts 20' long, 8' tall, and up to 2' wide. Our production line speed runs up to 10' per minute! Inside our "clean room" or powder coating booth we have 2 cyclone recovery systems. This allows us to reclaim the powder that is not collected on the part from the electrostatic application. By doing so it allows us to be more "lean" than other coaters. Our ovens run up to 450 degrees.

We also have the ability to batch spray. This means that parts that are larger that will not fit on our conveyor line can be hung on our rack that is 8' wide by 8' tall a up to 25' long. We can coat larger items like sand rails, UTV racks, spiral stairs and many more.
